The Streets Of New York That Lay Within Me
by Anissa from Park Place Voices, MS266K in Brooklyn, on June, 15th 2007
I am a child from the busy streets of New York Energetic like the Bam Festivals in the summer. I am a child of New York Loud and aggressive like the people on the bus, Beautiful like the necklace that lays on my mothers chest I am a child of intelligence Not the type to lose a spelling bee But suitable just being me I am a child of music Every part of it has something to do with me When I get stressed or tired I jus let the music play And I just let myself drift away From the drama, the stress Hoping to relax and just be me When I come back to my senses I realize that this is apart of me
